Here is my new skimmer. I wont be able to hook it up for a while but I will be posting lots of pics when I do get it up. Its and RK2 2400. Almost 9 feet tall and has a 15" diameter body with an automated washdown system so you never have to take the cup off to clean it.

where are you going to place this monster at, and what size tank will it be used on, are you running an commercial aquarium.:eek2:

It will be in the garage with the rest of the filter equiptment. It will be on my 1300G system. Its just a personal tank, but the skimmer came from a commercial place that was using it.

Yep! Another local reefer got the second one they had.

What pump is with that (amps/watts)

FWIW if you mod that to except a dart NW pump w/ an air pump you could knock down the watts to under 200 watts (with more air probably). I moded my tall venturi skimmer went from 340 watts to 70 watts, when i add add the air pump maybe 110 watts

man statements like that hurt us DIY guys. i am not seeing how you can thank god that you own a lifereef over some of these beauties, or contraptions as you call them.

and i also dont see how one would complain with a contraption like mine pulling out the amount of skimmate each day that the big AP902's pull out in a week.
