LOL, I can tell you right now, that someone is gonna post pictures of women in long skirts as a joke, well, I hope not now, LOL.

But seriously, there are tons of long skirt polyps in the photo sticky at the top of the page. On page 1 near the bottom you will see a lot of them and they continue throughout the thread. Enjoy, lots of beauts in there for sure.

Mucho

I still can't figure out why but when ever I put zoas in my tank their skirts get super short. Then I put them in a different tank and they get long again.

But any how nice stuff guys.

I have noticed the lenghtening of skirts due to high flow rates/heavy current.

Seems like the zoas with the fat skirts tend to get curely, while the zoas with the thinner skirts just get really long, and sway in the flow.

I have them in a 14G biocube with a skimmer and fuge, stock lighting that is getting upgraded Wednesday to 12 LEDs 5 white, 7 blue. Its in medium flow, I upgraded the return pump with a MJ900 and added the small koralia pump that was rated at 247 gph. I keep the salinity at 1.025 and temp at 79.

Can you share your parameters?

Thanks

+1.

Let's hear about those parameters though. Maybe something else is going on.

Alk- 7
Calc- 420
NO3- undetectable
PO4- undetectable
Temp- 79 degrees

Those are all I test, unless somthing doesnt seem right.

All are under reletively high lighting. T5's. The first 2 pics had 3w blue led suppliments.

Ive had this piece for about 3mo in my tank and the skirts must be 4x the size now.
