It's the Tyree Fire Echinopora.

My buddy got a small frag just before the A/C went out during a 114 degree heat wave. He tried a portable A/C unit, ice bags...anything he could think of. Unfortunately he lost what I estimated to be a $10,000 collection :hmm5: I've never seen one in person since.

I would have thought these where blastos by the looks of them. They just look angry this is a perfect image of what mine look like after I clean my tank. Just my thoughts, I am sure I could be wrong:confused:

I can see the resemblance, but they are definitely not blastos. Blastos always cluster closely. They never have varying spacing between polyps.

I'm 100% positive that that photo is the Tyree Fire Echinopora Lemellosa. Mind you, the camera either could not deal properly with the lighting, or the photo has been edited. The absurdly dark pigment between polyps as well as the background colors give this away.

I believe this coral is more or less a Hollywood Stunner which has morphed to have orange pigment around the base of the tentacles. When the tentacles are closed, it's just blue and green.

yeah now that I look at it a little longer you have got to be right. The other dead give away is the egg crate behind it. This is a small frag!! it just looked bigger because of the crop. Thanks!!
