Show off your Strawberry shortcake

First photo I picked up as a "Reverse SSC" the second photo was sold to me as a SSC, but I've been told it is Raspberry Limeade, 3rd photo is a colony shot of the 2nd photo.

Original UC Strawberry Shortcake. Grew this from a tiny frag my friend gave me, he bought his frag from Jason Fox who got it from Unique corals at MACNA 2009 when it was first released.

Great photos. I noticed Jason Fox SSC does look different from the others. Its more green with red polyps vs the pink edges you normally see on other SSC. Very nice indeed.

seems strong light and high current are best?....i'm getting a frag from DD Wed and have a spot 12" under a 400 watt 10k HM, and current from my return, a sea swirl. any thoughts?

mine is finally turning into a mini colony...as you can see below, it enjoyed encrusting FOREVER, before it started growing upward.

I love this coral my personel favorite. I just switched over to LEDs a little over a week ago. So far it has maintained the nice pink and cream. The one thing I have noticed since the change is the new growth at the base. The new growth on the rock as it encrusts is a bright blue. Does anyone else have this ?

This was sold to me as a SSC, but the only hint of any green I've seen is the growing edge, which I feel is more of a light turquoise. I keep waiting from some green, but I'm starting to think it isn't a SSC. It is a painfully slow grower. Thoughts?

Here's a pic of mine. I've been meaning to take a more recent and better pic - hopefully this weekend. I grew it from a frag from my lfs.

I can't believe it's been almost a year since I posted this pic. Well, here's an update:

This is an early pic of the colony. I originally grew it from like a 1" frag. This pic was taken like Dec of '11:

Another update in a year hopefully :)

Now that is what a ssc is supposed to look like! Good Job!

No, no pests for a while. I did zoom in to the pic, but there was so much pink and green, it dazzled me. :)

I couldn't see any of the red spots you mention, even in zoom?. Did you actually see them in this photo, or just put 2 and 2 together in view of the polyp extension?.

The coral had an acrylic plate sat about 1cm above it. I can't photograph it otherwise. Unfortunately, this removes super polyp extendo mode.
