I've had the trio for almost a year and a half, although my original regal was in my 65 in my old apartment in this system ... There's an excellent thread that's been going on for years about regal angels that's like 70 pages long... I've contributed to that from page two and it's got excellent firsthand information... a disclaimer that should be put everywhere is that this fish should be left for the experienced aquarist... misinformation regarding this fish is that only "1 in 100" or something like that feed and survive... This is simply not true, although it is accurate for those that use what I call the "dump and hope" approach, where people take a delicate fish shipped halfway around the world and throw it in their display expecting it to outcompete and feed with fish that are established and aggressive... the misinformation with quarantine is that it is solely to keep foreign disease out of the display... to me that is at the bottom of the list, and my personal opinion is that a tank full of healthy fish in a stable system could fight off MOST maladies that come in... In the right hands the majority of regals could settle in and do well...

Anyway, back on the topic of tangs... did you get your black tang locally thor?

yeah i got him at a store here in orlando. I love him to death! the store had him for about 6 weeks so i knew for sure he was healthy. got to love the tangs

My Tang

My Tang

Here is my Tang, it's an Orange Powder Type, really hard to keep around though because my daughter usually kills it in a week or two....

Prugs you poop! When did you get those tangs?

Hey Leishman...how big is your Vlamingi? He looks like the Goodyear Blimp next to the yellow tang! Great looking fish.

It's ~7" grown from a 2" fish saved from petco. You can see the size of it and the yellow below:

Just some pics of some orange shoulders at the Maui Ocean Center during a visit. Never did see one in the wild.

They had to be at least 14".
