They have similar body shapes so they stick together :]. They get along great. There's a little tail swiping sometimes, but it isn't often. It's probably just to keep order.

Here is my orange shoulder...

yea probably i mean those fish look very healthy and fat. I want to add a purple with my sailfin when my 90 is ready but iam not sure if its going to work out and i also heard that the purples are one of the most aggressive tangs other then the sohal and clown.

That is a awesome looking Orange shoulder. That thing has great color and looks very healthy What size tank is he in?

Wow, that's a really nice orange shoulder. I'm jealous!

Purple aggression really varies fish to fish. My purple is really unaggressive, but she knows how to defend herself. There was a thread on purple aggression a while back in the reef fish forum, and it seems like their mean reputation is not wholly deserved.

OK i might think about adding one to my 90. I would love two have a school of purples or yellows. How is she with picking at algae.

so rt6 your thinking of adding 2 yellows and a pruple now? if you are then i think it would be best to take the sailfin back to the LFS

No i wish i could do that though. When my tank is u p and running right then when i add the sailfin i want to either add a purple, yellow, pbt, or fine lined bristletooth tang. I am leaning towards either a purple or PBT. 8 more post get those pics up to

Just thought id upload that to get some more post:D
if it was me then i would go for the PBT but its whatever you prefer.

I know the sailfin will eventually get way to big for my tank so when he does i will return him to the LFS. I think i might go with the purple or fine lined bristletooth tang because they are easier to keep and are good algae eaters. The last choice would either be a yellow or PBT.

I think the purple or PBT are one of the best algae eaters out there but i could be wrong. I love to watch my tangs pick on the rock. I dont know why but it just fasinates me. IMO i think the PBT is better algae eater then the Purple but once again i could be wrong.
