Show off your TANGS!!!

Fareforce great pictures. Love tommy. Make sure to post again when you get your powder brown.

carlosngloria very nice pictures. Everything looks great love it all.

I have to ask, do you think I can keep 4 tangs together from the list below in a 210g tank? If so, which 4?
Powder Blue,
Powder Brown
Convict
Hippo
White Cheek
Yellow

I think you can keep a maybe one more the 4 maybe depending on size. If your not sure of some things about the fish i will list them.

Powder Blue Tang- Love these great fish. Very popular. Needs a lot of rockwork to hide in and a lot flow. HARD TO KEEP. These fish can get ich very easily. If you are to keep this fish i would say you should have a qt tank. Will get territorial especially if you were to keep the Powder Brown.

Powder Brown- Love these fish as well. Need a lot of swimming room and rockwork just like the powderblue. The powderbrown is easier to keep. Not as prone to ich as the powder blue. Peacful

Convict- I did have one of these loved him. Easy to keep. Not very prone to ich. Peacful

Hippo- Needs rockwork. Great fish. Peaceful. Prone to ich. Sometimes say they are hard to keep some say they are not

White Cheek- Very nice fish. But i dont know to much about these.

Yellow- Great fish. Great peace to have in the tank. Easy to keep and moderate behavior.

I am no expert but here is some things i know about these tangs that you named.

All the tangs feed on many things. Are you going to be using a QT?

i have a 210. My current tang stock is Hybrid Powder Blue, Yellow belly, naso, sailfin, and the sohal. The purple i took out cause it kept going after powder blue.

Yes, I have a 20g QT tank. I currently have the Hippo and he's great so I'm planning for future purchases. Since I'll have black sand I'll probably go with the Convict, Yellow, White Check and my hippo unless, of course someone comes up with a great tang to add!

My powder brown just came in today, but I can't get a pic of him for a little bit. LFS is QT'ing him for me for 2 weeks. I will see about getting a pic though. =)

Beautiful pix everyone.
Question: I'm considering adding an Anthacurus and am trying to decide between the white cheek, orange shoulder, powder brown, dussumieri. I've read that the White Cheek is somewhat fragile, and that the Orange Shoulder is mean ?? (which is why I've ruled out a Sohal).

What are people's opinions??

I currently have in my 300gal:

Blonde Naso
Hippo
Redsea Sailfin
Scopas

I would pick a Powder Blue.... But of your choices:

Powder Brown.

Dussumieri are really awesome tangs too, they get REALLY big though. I was reading about them in this Months Reef Keeping Magazine ^_^.

They aren't easy to find either.

these fish are from Larry Lau of reefresults.com

they were in his 500g that he unfortunately broke down this year

he wanted to find them new homes so they were being held at a local fish store im pompano beach fl

the hippo tangs are a pair and are 15 years old and are in a 65g
