Show piece for a 60 cube? (24x24x24)

Live aquaria says 50Gs? I did do my research, i am gonna put him in a 60g.

Again, that's an estimate based on typical measurements. You've got a lot of gallonage that isn't beneficial to fish swimming room in the height and depth. For instance, liveaquaria lists 125 for an adult PBT, but that's assuming a 6' long 125. A 4' tank wouldn't be close to sufficient for an adult, given their swimming needs. It certainly wouldn't mean that a 150 DD would be anything less than torture for that particular fish, given its 3' length.

Length is far, far more important than gallonage.

A fish should be able to swim 6 body lengths before turning any less and it becomes a stressful environment for them. Look for fish that are less active swimmers that max out at 4"

Anthias are open water swimmers and not a good choice for a 24" tank

I have kept dwarf angels in my 60 cube for years with no ill effects. Just make sure your rockwork has lots of tunnels and interesting paths for the fish to swim through. Avoid the typical "rock wall" look and opt for more arches and caves. The flame would make a nice centerpiece for your cube.

No, LA says 70 minimum- which is a four foot tank. Likely would be fine in the cube- but you would not be following the advice of experts, rather going your own way. Which is fine- we are all adults, and can make our own decisions.

Oh really? I must have been thinking of somthing else then sorry. I guess it was a bad idea to get him but there is nothing i can do, everyone in my family loves him so im in a tight situation. What would be better to keep him in? 37g or 60 cube?

60- he will be fine.

Also syrinx i had the clowns in the 37g but they fought alot with the blenny and angel so i moved him and everyone is now much more happy, and so are the clowns.

Good deal! There are few absolutes when dealing with individual animals in un natural situations. Clowns should be fine.

I like looking at these cube builds I'm in the planning/buying equipment stages of my build and it will be the biggest build I have done I started of with a 15g column tank than moved up to a 54 corner tank and then I just moved so right now every one is living in my lil 29g till I get this one up

Here is the state of the tank ATM ImageUploadedByTapatalk1389991176.953129.jpg

24 inches is plenty big enough for a flame. Non problem.

I'd forget the tile, fox face and anthilas tho'. Too much straight line swimming. What about a fancy basslet - a gramma or a liopropoma?

If you want to look into my build thread i started one on another forum about my 60 cube a while back:
