I started my 10g just after Christmas this past year with a Current USA 80W PC Light and a Liberty Ehiem 200 HOB Filter.

This is it on Jan 1st. Sorry for the Picture quality, it was taken with my phone.

Now, 9 months later here is the tank again. Many, many changes have happened since January. The tank has the same lighting, but now I have a DIY 10g sump that has approx. 7g of volume, and a CPR HOB (Modified to hang on the side) Refugium. Here it is on Sept 4th.

This last shot is the full setup. If you look to the left you will see the auto top off and RO Reservoir.

Nice!! I like the look of a 20L. Are you going to look at getting a longer Light?

Great question. I'm actually in the process of getting new lights. I was thinking of 175Watt MH. Probably going to pu in a 20K bulb since I love the blue look. I might also supplement with T5 actinics for the dawn/dusk look. Not completely sure yet. Either way, the canopy is being built now and the lights should be bought this weekend. Any suggestions? I'm up for any advice. Thanks.

Oh yea, the tank is 30 inches long but I'm looking at 24 inch setups to go in the canopy. Love your tank btw.

Even a complete 4 bulb T5 Setup would be nice. The good thing about a 20L is its shallow. The T5 in the long run will have a cheaper operating cost (replacement bulbs and power to operate). Obviously, on tanks as small as we are talking, power is not a huge consideration.

All of these tanks are beautiful! I have a 12g nano, and after having bigger tanks, sometimes I have a hard time trying to setup the LR som the tank looks nice. It's tough in such a small space. You guys have provided some good clues. Thanks!

This is the latest pic I've got. The only difference between June and now is that the xenia has grown up the back glass, which is what I was attempting to train it to do in the above pic. Not quite as colourful as some above but I'm happy with it

My 15 gallon is in the 700-800 doller range. You save alot of money if you buy the best thing first.
