*Show Your Aggressive Fish*

Super nice blue line.

All of you guys/gals have nice looking fish. As soon as the ich goes away and I have fish left to show off I will join the postings.

I can remove the neon dotty back and flame from my sig....hopefully that will be it.
 
Chad the trigger are about 3 inches, the blueline I just got yesterday and I must say that he is the prettiest salt water fish I have ever seen and I have seen thousands of fish, the pics do not do him justice.I went to a store to use a gift card I won in our local reef club and there he was very expensive especialy since I buy most of my fish wholesale, but I could not pass it by.





Dan thanks you got to come see him in person, those pics do not show his true beauty!!! being a trigger lover like me you will se whay I meen when you see him oh and my new Ducati is pretty sweet to look at to.
Ya I have to eras my whole fav tank part including all of the fish Very bummed!!!!!
 
Chris - your blueline really makes me miss my old blueline. They are by far the coolest triggers to own. Mine had so much personality...too bad my niger had to have it out with him.
 
Yeah, that color is still something else. Feed that fish prime rib if it wants it! A fish that unique in color could easily deserve a tank of its own, like a 75 or something for few years.
 
Paveking that is a sweet looking puffer, how big is that guy and Reefer I also like the colors on your blueline, usually the yellow looks washed out - not so vibrant like yours.

and yes this fish is going to get the clarion angel treatment, I will cater to him in any way I can even if he needs a 125 to himself!
I have seen a lot of blueline and have owned a few of them, but this one is like no other I have seen in person or in a pic.
I am fatning him up now he is in a 20 gal qt by himself for about 4 weeks then I will be upgrading my rigger reef and he will go in there when the other fish are moved in at the same time to avoid any fighting.

I have a couple other eels and a few zebrasoma tangs, but although most consider them aggressive, they don't actively go looking for trouble like these guys do. These are the real aggressive ones.

It's a Brazilian horned dragon moray, or alternatively the white spot moray. Scientific name is Muraena pavonina. He's quite a monster when he's hungry.

Why is it that many fish are mislabled at the store. ive seen $100 fish for $12. Not sure how these people get hired. Ever heard of the internet or even a reference book. Kinda annoying but nice if you have the right space/tank for one of the mislables.

I just realized that we didn't have the grouper yet when we made this video. We also added 100 lbs of LR and put a black back on the tank since then.

Is that the regular construction expandable foam. buy it at Home Depot for example? Not worried that someone takes a bite out of it?
 
Well, now its in the tank and its hardened up a bit. So no, I'm not worried about anything biting into it, considering I only have a Yellow Tang, a Snowflake Eel, and a Brownbanded Bamboo Shark in the tank.

Yes, you can buy it at Home Depot.

how big does it get? one of the larger moray eels? How mean? Like a Tessalata? Experience with him/it?

Can you post some pics? I would love to see this. I heard the males are yellow and the females are the black and white spot. So maybe it varies by region or better yet they are all yellow as juveniles and if they are maturing and a female they turn the black and white. Anyone with some experience or knowledge of this can give some insight (did I spell that correctly?)?

The Guinea Fowl Puffer and the Golden Puffer are the same puffer. As juveniles they have the black and white coloration, but they turn to the golden yellow color as they age. However, in captivity, they rarely change from the black and white to the golden color. I have never heard of it going from Golden back to the black and white. Very interesting!
 
Very cool, Chad! Have you detected any kind of bad things in your water tests? I'm really interested in doing this when I aquascape my 450. It's 36" tall and I'd like to get some rock towards the top for the light loving corals.
 
Nope, nothing bad at all. I would recommend doing this to anyone who wants to have a large, custom, strong reef structure for their tanks.
