Showing off my new Picassos

Haha, I don't mess with LFS anymore, not when I can order through this guy. He gets stuff straight from the suppliers, not wholesalers. He got my buddy a golden romboid(sp?) for $100, where everyone else wants like $300-500. Got me snails, crabs, and shrimp for next to nothing. Plus, got me 80lbs of Turkish live rock straight from the collector for $120.

Now I need to figure out where to put these misbars before my grade A's come in. Best part is, I don't have to pay anything for the grade As.

Anyway you look at it, I think it was nice of EC and Todd and others to chime in the way they did...I found their posts to be informative and respectful. I 'm glad everything worked out for you btkrausen...

Thanks. My supplier said he wouldn't have even noticed until it was too late if I hadn't brought it up. Additionally, he mentioned that while on the phone with them that they would only do 2 Grade As at a time as the other said.

At least the two misbars are currently sleeping at the very top of the tank, so hopefully it'll be easy to get out. I do kinda like the misbars though.

Thanks for everybody's replies. I'll "repost" my new ones next week once they come in.

just taking a step back...

can you even have "grade a" picasso's that havent developed their stripes yet?

what justifies the grading is the degree to which the bars develop and connect, which you can't know before they come in. it doesnt matter who the parents are, not all offspring develop the desired patterns. this is why some offspring get sold as grade a or grade b.

just trying to think about it logically.

Thats what I was thinking, in that the stripes would come in since these were so young, but apparently not, according to the other guys on here. These were my first purchase of a "expense" fish, its just unfortunate that the supplier messed up and sent the wrong ones.

At least they are making it right in sending a grade A pair. Interested to see the difference if they are also young as well.

This are my ORA Grade A.

Just text my guy (thanks for reminding me) and he's ordering them on Sunday, so hopefully next week I'll have 'em.

Got my Picassos last night, pics to come later. Didn't have time last night due to homeowners association meeting

Those are considered grade A.
If I were you, I'd start feeding them very well. Good foods soaked in vitamins about twice a day, or more. At least until they put on some weight and become comfortable in your tank.

I think that this is just another confirmation why I visit this forum first daily,, the screw up was brought to your attention by reef central and you got it corrected before to much time had expired. EC and Todd are top notch!!!

Thanks for the advice. They are eating well already. They actually look thin in the picture, but aren't in real life. I fed them Spectra A already when I got home, and have Mysis soaking right now. They seem to be pretty comfy in the tank already, but I really don't have many other fish in there right now.

The plan is to order a nem for them within a few months.
