Showpiece in your tank

Listen, I don't want you guys to think I'm being critical, but seriously, take your time and get us a picture that is nice and sharp of your fish. After all, this is your best, and the image should represent it.

Yep, I'm sending you back to your tanks to take more pictures. I know you can do it. Try turning off the pumps. Sometimes that makes the fish confused and they'll stay stationary for those pictures. Use a tripod. Don't shake the camera when you press the shutter button. Prefocus on the area where the fish will be, wait for it to swim into the frame, and gently take the shot. Try taking the picture with the flash, and try again without a flash. Without flash, set the ISO to 200 or 400 (action speed). And be sure your glass is nice and clean. Usually it is best to clean it the glass the day before you take pictures, that way there aren't a bunch of particulates in the water.

Im sure that went out to me...But its ok I dont want that picture used, I just wanted to share my new little guy. Its pretty cool how its captive bred. My camera is kinda old, soooo its kinda hard to get to much better than that. But for the rest of you guys great pictures, and beautiful fish!! Keep them comming, I love seeing all the great fish people have :)

It went out to a few people in this thread. Don't give up trying to get a clean shot. The beauty of digital photography is that you don't lose any money trying over and over to get that perfect image. :)

Please submit one or two images only; this is your BEST, not every fish in your tank.

I never thought so many reefers didn't know how to count!:D

1) Acanthurus maculiceps- spot face surgeon

Yes, please do. It isn't a contest. We want your best submission. If it is good enough, we'll use it as I stated in the first post.
