Yes the dragon eel in my avatar is not mine. Hopefully the one I have coming will be as nice as that one. Also I hope my dragon doesn't come in as big as the guy in my avatar. This is a Japanese that is in my avatar and my will be a Japanese as well. I wish I could track down the photographer to give him credit. From what i can remember it was taken in Osusaka(sp) on a dive trip and they were very prevelant. Here is a bigger shot. An absolutely stunning picture. Regards, Tim

Jeremy, I think you may have a new showpiece soon when he comes out of quarantine. When can we see the new showpiece??? Will be one of the coolest things you will see when the pictures some. Tim
Since he's only an inch, I might have a little trouble getting a good shot of him in the big tank with the big boys. But I will try. He goes in on Wednesday.

JRAquatics and Mpoletti, we need to start a club. With secret handshakes and all. Mauliceps RULE! Mine is so dang lazy. He gave my scribblked a "hard time" for a day, by flaring, but other than that, he eats, and tells me "its hard looking this pretty" and he glides around the tank.

here is my vlad. tang , 8 inches and growing

vlad6.jpg

That's interesting...my vlamingi seems about the same size, but has never had any blue spots on the tail like yours does. I wonder if one is male and the other is female?

Here's my "Freckles" for comparison....

...and the most attractive fish in my tank...my Atlantic Blue Tang, who has become nearly completely un-blue!

not sure but diet or possibly from a different region can make the difference.mine was supposedly from the red sea.it has streamers starting to form on the tail also.

Melev what do you mean by not using that pic? Am i going to get sued for copyright infringement or something. Or is it one of your many beautiful pics. If it is in fact yours and you don't want me to use it, please let me know.

Jeremy i can't wait to see that little guy!!!!! Yes those Mauliceps are very under rated fish. Stunning fish. Unfortunately they need some substantial size to show their true beauty. Regards, Tim

mysers2, I'm putting a note in the thread so we don't accidentally use it in Reefkeeping Magazine.

Without the photographer's permission, we don't use pictures and I noted it so we don't make a mistake when we collect these images up for the article.

Chuck, (dakotareefs) You could be my new hero. Are you kidding me with all of those displays? If I ever became a multi-millionaire that would be good part of my displays. Do you care for all of them on your own? Are they plumbed together? Oh man just tell me everything. Do you work? Regards, Tim

Well, can't really say I have any showpieces cuz I prefer smaller fish.....two of my faves

He is the reason why I got into SW fish to begin with...beautiful fish...don't mind all the algae, its now gone

And this is the reason why the algae is gone...I wouldn't consider these guys show stoppers, but they have so much personality...definitely love em

Ivy, I have to say, that Sohal is GORGEOUS. If I get my 10' tank, I'm getting a Sohal! Question - they coloring is not that bold when they are younger, correct? I ask because the ones I've seen at the LFS are not that colorful. They were around 3-4".
