showsize frogspawn FS

I want to make some room in my reef and I've come to the decision to sell my beloved frogspawn that I've had and raise for 3 years. I started him off as a few heads and he is totally home grown. Its got 30+ heads, about volleyball size. I'll have to get a more acurate count on them. Something like 12" across, branching froggie. Its got some cool sponge growth on the underside, I'll get more pics. I debated on getting rid of him and its hard to do but I need room. Anyone looking for a nice showpiece this is it. Do to its size I don't feel comfortable shipping, I could meet you. $300.00, or I'm taking best offer. Post or PM me, thanx. I'll try to get some more pics, these are like two years ago, he is much fuller now.

That's really a beautiful piece! How long did it take to get that large? Do you feed it? (Just wondering how soon I'll need to frag mine.)

i think you should sell it to that guy that paints corals and sells them for the price they would be if they were alive. i hear he is putting up a new show tank .......for like for the past 2 years ha ha your ugly

Thanks! I squirt Cyclpopeeze & DT's Phyto at them... I don't see how they could eat mysis... "no mouth" that I can tell.

big mouth on these hungry lps, trust me and try it, you'll see that they'll chow down big time. I'd venture to say the the cylopeeze is too small for the froggies, (and most lps for that matter), DT's for lps is pretty much usless. Do the mysis in selcon and it'll take off.

Oh, almost forgot, SOLD ! thanx all.

I'm glad it worked out for you, and I hope that coral has a good home.

So where is their mouth? I mix all the above with Rod's food but just skim off the top (which would be the smaller stuff), for the corals & then dump in the larger pieces for the fish. I turn off all the filters & pumps while feeding the corals & the pumps back on for the fish. The filters stay off for at least an hour.

Sorry for the hijack but since the coral's sold now...

no worries pufferpunk, you gotta take a turkey baster, suck up some mysis , or similar sized chunks of food and gently put it right on to the coral polyps, it will grab it and take it in. Look at my top picture , the closeup, (right in the center is the mouth) yum yum.

Thanx DgenR8 , I got the feeling its going to a good home.

thats right, its tentecles will "sting" the food and hold it and move it towards its mouth. Keep it going, soak you food mysis in selcon for 1/2 hour then do it for great results long term.
