I have way to many aptasia in my 90 gal lps tank. They are fighting for room and it's become an issue. I have heard that peppermint shrimp eat aptasia like candy but I have 2- cleaner shrimp already. Decent sized ones. Question. Will peppermint shrimp eat the aptasia and will they fight my cleaner shrimp. Any other options. I've tried the pickle juice, lemon juice, super glue etc. doesn't work.

I had a cleaner shrimp with peppermint shrimp and they never fought that I could tell. Of course, my cleaner shrimp was huge so the peps wouldn't have stood a chance. I collected my peppermint shrimp down at the coast in Texas. The took care of my aiptasia problem. I must've have collected 50-75 of all sizes. The problem is, they're kind of a pain after they tear through the aiptasia. I would try nudibranches first. I had tried them before but had already added a couple of peps and I think the nudis were just expensive lunch for them.

i had several peppermint shrimp in my 90, killed the aiptasia quickly, but then went after my tube anemone and a couple frogspawns, so i had to get them outta there before they caused more damage to other corals

Seems like this is common.

I have cleaner. / peppermint / blood shrimp in my 45. They don't mess with each other. My pepppermint won't touch aptasia. I killed my aptaisia with aptasia - x
