I think it depends on the shroom you want to keep, some need more light and some need less. A gerneral rule is atleast 3 wpg for softys. I have 6 wpg of pc's and keep my shrooms on the bottom in the shaded areas, and they do great.

Throw the watts per gallon out the window, it means nothing.
Mushrooms need dimmer lights and low flow. If you have pc's they should be your favorite coral.

and by the way 150w MH >>>>>>>> 150w PC

It just depends on the light source.

I have a 12 gallon with 2X27 lighting. So 27X2=54/12=4.5 watts per gallon.

My shrooms do amazing and grow like crazy. I must say that they do better towards the top and expand larger, but they are still reproducing and looking sweet on the bottom.

Okay, i have dimmer lights , with low flow. Im setting up a Mini Bow 5, and will only have the little hang on back filter for flow

ohh and if i have two 10 watts screw in flourecents, is this too much for the shrooms or would they do better with just one, i thot one would'nt be enough

theyll be fine with 20W. i have 18W over my 2.5 gallon and the mushrooms love it.
