Sicce 9.0, ADV vs. SDC Noise Comparisons

I am looking to replace main return pump with a Sicce 9.0 (250 gallon tank with about 50 or 60 gallons of sump). I have seen reviews that describe throbbing hum issues with the SDC units. I am wondering whether the ADV (AC) units have similar issues. Sump room where pump would be located is a separate room behind the tank, and pump would be located about 20 feet away from where I work on concrete floor (on foam cushion), with soft vinyl plumbing passing through wall to tank).

Thanks.

I just replaced a Mag-24 for my skimmer with a Sicce ADV 9.0 2 weeks ago. So far no issues with any noise. The pump works great.

this is good to hear (no pun intended). is it internal or external? I'll be running external.

I note that I have a pair of ADV 7's attached to my two saltwater mixing bins and they do put off some noise when I am running them, but they are mounted vertically to the sides of the bins and air bubbles sound like they are getting trapped and churned in the volutes.

For the return, pump will be horizontal, but the volute will need to be rotated so that the outlet is horizontal, and on the low side of the pump instead of the top of the pump. I'm hoping that there will not be issues of air bubbles getting trapped and churned with this configuration....
