Has anyone had any trouble with these pumps? I have two that run my skimmer and one of the pumps in particular is very finicky. Every time I turn it off to clean the cup and have to "help" it start correctly. I took it out to clean it and didn't notice any issues with it except the impeller had some grooves in it from sediment. I cleaned it out and it still has issues when it first starts. Occasionally, it may completely stop. :mad2:

I was thinking of replacing the impeller.

It's not all that uncommon with the 2500. I would recommend switching over to the Red Demon pinwheel, as this will aid in getting rid of the restart issues. Also, the one that has a grooved magnet needs to be replaced. Here is a link to the Red Demon pinwheel....
