I recently bought a bi color blenny from the lfs.
For the first few weeks he seemed to be in great health, He would leave his hole in the rock regularly to feed and explore the tank. He didn't seem afraid of the other fish in the tank (2 Ocellaris clowns, and a diamond goby).
One night I came home to find him cowering at the back of the tank. Since then, he seems afraid to leave the rock, even to feed. When he does make an attempt to get food, he usually swims out so fast that he completely misses the food. After 3 or 4 attempts, he usually gives up, and goes back to hiding. He also seems to swim funny, occasionally swimming upside down, and flicking the sand with his tail.
His coloration has changed as well, going from a dark blue/black front with a bright orange tail, to a mottled grey blue, and a faded orange tail.
I've moved him to a quarrantine tank recently, but so far I haven't seen any improvements.
Anyone have any ideas/ suggestions?
BTW, all the water parameters seem fine, and no other inhabitants are showing any sign of stress
