Sick Carpet Anemone

I've had a Blue Carpet nem for close to 2 years. Never a problem other than an apetite for firefish. It would retract if it was disturbed when I cleaned the tank, but would bounce back later. Today it's completely deflated. Sort of shriveled. Yesterday it was perfectly fine. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Lots of things can trigger such reactions: predators in the tank have gotten large enough over time to annoy it, dosing changes, temp changes, lighting changes, ad infinatum.

Added or changed anything in the last 60ish days?

I'll assume for now your carpet is S. haddoni, mine would let me know it was not happy about such changes in a similar manner. Maybe slow down on the dosing and make sure the anemone is not in the direct dosing path.

Best of luck and keep us up to date.
