Sick Cleaner Shrimp?

Murphy's law has stuck again. I go for 2 days of diving and return to find a problem in my tank.
I had 2 cleaner shrimp, I now have 1.
I have noticed on the one left though that 2 of his 'feelers' have gone red. Other than that he look's perfectly happy and is eating.
Can anyone help shed some light on the situation?

Thats a wierd one, but since no one is answering you I suggest you google it and keep posting info and some one will jump in here with advise

Just got off google and came to find that when a shrimp finishes molting its shell is incredibally soft and that it can take up too 3 days before the new one hardens again. I read that it take an enormous amount of energy for him to do this. If he is eating fine I would just QT him and watch him and continue to look into the color of his claws changing. I am by far no expert, but I just gotthat fromreading around.

your welcome. I wanted to learn about them also... I ordered 2 last week. did youlearn anything else, if so please share.

I've had them for 1 year now and I think that the most important thing to know is that they are VERY sensitive to ph. So make sure your water is tip top. Drip feed them to acclimatise them well. Once you have had them awhile, they are not so sensitive, apart from the ph of course:-)
Enjoy...

Thanks got all that stuff so I guess I'm ready. Do your's breed I thinkI'mgonnatry it. I'mreally determined.

They would do if they hadn't died LOL.
We have another tank though where they are monsters of the deep and spawn all the time. They have done so once when the lights were on and it was pretty cool and the fish were happy also:-)

No, the ones we were discussing. I also have had other casualties, 1 hermit crab, 1 clam and 1 small conch.
Still trying to figure out why at the moment, as I use the same chemicals, water etc etc as my boyfriends tank and he has no problems.
My clown fish are still alive though:-)

Okay well, good luck. just gotmy first fish and in 2 days he went belly up.... no idea why though. no sign of predetors andthe water parameters in my water are perfect. I think it was stress.
