Sick Clown - Freshwater Dipping?

I have a female snowflake clown that is not well. I think she has the gill parasite as I have seen her scratch her gills on the live sand.

All she does is stay in the corner and sometimes even lays there. Not eating either. She is the prized fish in my cube.

I tried freshwater dip for 4 minutes yesterday and it helped. But today she is back to the same.

Should I try the freshwater dip again today or tomorrow and should I dose the freshwater with medication? Not sure what to use that would be safe on the clownfish and still be effective on the parasite. Please help.

I'm gathering that you didn't quarantine the fish, so the tank is now infected and whatever treatment you try will be undone when you return the fish to the infected tank.

You will have to set up a treatment tank.
If a freshwater bath helps then ich can be excluded.
Possible infections:
- Brooklynella
- Amyloodinium
- Gill flukes (Monogenean)

Pictures of the fish and possibly a video (please not vertical) would help to narrow it down.

This. Note, however, that a fresh water dip ameliorates the symptoms of Amyloodinium but does not solve the problem. If clownfish are involved, IMO the odds favor Brooklynella
