Sick/Depressed Clown Trigger

I got it from Drs Foster and Smith, but I'm sure its available other places as well.

Its weird though...the instructions say to put in five drops per fish, and only feed them that. However, none of my fish react as if its food, and it seems to mix into the water almost immediately. I have no idea if they're actually getting medicated.

Can you tell where you got it?

Just to wrap it up I put the trigger to sleep yesterday. I tried hard to bring huim back and he definitely hung in there a lot longer than I expected but it wasn't enough in the end and I couldn't bear to see him struggle any longer. He was my favorite but I knew it wasn't right to let him degenerate any further.

Lesson learned I guess and that's one thing about this pursuit that always inspires me. Even the worst experiences are learning experiences and every now and again its good to get a reminder that no matter how much we think we know there are always challenges and new things to learn.

Next time I won't leave it so long to get the fish into QT and start treatment. I guess I had become somewhat complacent over the past year and have had almost no problems (in contrast to the year before that seemed to bring one problem/disappointment after another). Nature has a way of keeping us humble and this experince has been that for sure. But some good will come of it...

Thanks to all for your support and advice.

I wouldn't call taking a fish out of a 13394584545459345 bajilliion gallon ocean and then placing it in an aquarium really nature.

But the important part is you learned something and so did I. Now the question is, are you going to get a new Clown Trigger? :D
