SICK FISH! Help!!!(PICTURES)

i have a yellow tang that has been added 2 weeks ago to my 75 galon tank. it swims alot it eats alot it doesnt pick or get picked on by others.


today i was examining him and i noticed something on his face...im worried it might be face rot and of not something else serious.

he's too fast to take a picture of, but these show it pretty well


right behind his eye are those dots and if you look a bit closely, they are indents.

is this normal? please help.

I would wait a few days first to see if they get worse. just make sure you have good water quality.


immediately did water tests to make sure and everything comes u fine ive tested ph ammonia nitrites and nitrates...anythig else i should look out for?
 
If it is a bacterial infection (and I'd put my money on that over a parasitical one), a freshwater dip won't do you any good. You'll have to treat with antibiotics. You do need to identify what it is first, though. There are different types of antibiotics (i.e. gram positive and gram negative), and they treat different types of infections.

bummer that would mean i need a hospital tank since i turned my old one into a sump.
