I have had him and a scotts fairy wrasse in a 55 QT for about 3 weeks all has been fine .
I noticed the acting lineatus funny yesterday getting blown around the tank almost straight up and down and has a little white patch on his side does not look like ick at all . I feed and he ate fine yesterday .

I go down this am he is having a hard time staying upright worse than yesterday .
I have copper on hand and these are expensive fish almost 400.00 and don't want to lose them . the scotts seams fine .
I will try for a picture but not to much to see and he is not breathing hard just going upside down a lot.
thanks

If you can get a picture, that would be great. If he's getting blown around, it could be a swim bladder problem. They are deepwater fish and it's possible it wasn't decompressed properly after collection. Also, C. scottorum can be aggressive - the white patch could be a result of being picked on.

+1..

Swim bladder issues are all to common with these fish. They are deep water species and all to often are not decompressed properly when they are collected. I lost a Scott's Fairy Wrasse to the same issue within a few weeks of getting it. It was an expensive lesson.
