i bought this maze brain in june and it had a nice green center with the brown along the edges. then slowly the green center marbled and swirled into the brown color and now it is all brown and has some tissue recession. it looks like crud now and i dont know what im doing wrong, my tank is about 8 months old and i currently have mostly sps and they are all doing great. i run 2 250 watt mh lamps and 2 96 watt attinic pc's. i dont know if this problem is related to lighting/current/water parimeters or what, but since everything is in check and all of my other corals are doing fine i really dont know what is going on. here is a pic of what it looks like now and what it looked like before

Try placing it in a lower light area. If everything else is ok in your tank it sounds like a specific problem to this coral so I would rule out water conditions. If the lower light does nothing for it try to dip the coral to see if that helps. Keep us posted.

too much light, brains like shaded / low light areas. I have mine at the bottom of a 24G aquapod w/ 2x32W PC lights and I think he looks good.
