sick open brain

My fish must have dug a hole next to it because when I came home yesterday night it was almost completely upside down. When I flipped him over he has white noodle like things coming out of what appears to be some kind of pores. last night the center puffed up like a dome. As of now there is no skeleton showing. Does any one know what he is doing and if he will survive?

it will be fine specially if you had it for a while mine puffs up when it gets sand on it. This is the way they clean themselfs. Maybe feed it next time the feeders are out

The feeders were out this morning so I gave him some misys. I am not worried about him puffing up, its the noodle like stuff that is coming out of it. It has been out for three days now and shows no signs of going away. Is that noodle stuff normal for cleaning itself?

Do they look like spagetti worms? It should recover.
Read this thread, I know acan are not brains but they are LPS. they are recovering.

It could be "It sounds like the coral is dispelling it's mesinary filaments" Not sure if brain have them

it is little patches of worms coiled in little groups. As in the pics it was only in the center around the mouth, now it is starting to do it on the sides now. I am going to take a water sample to the LFS and I will see what they say about it. I just worry because it is getting worse. I fed it this morning but I don't think it actually put the food in its mouth.

i would put it in low flow/ low light.. looks very streesed,give food whenever it wants to eat..

Before I left on vacation Saturday I put it in a lower flow area partially shaded by a rock, that was Friday. On Saturday morning it was looking a little bit better and it took food. I think it will pull through. I have had the tank with animals for about a year now and this is the first time anything like this has happened so I did not know what to do. When I get home I will post pics and give an update on its health.
