cameras broke, so no pics, water params are all good,
there is a small white fuzzy spot on him, he appears to be sick, not his normal self, any ideas???
I've never had any develop white spots, so without pics, it's hard to visualize and come up with ideas. What kind of ric (yuma or florida)? How long have you had it and where did you get it (LFS or shipped)? Not sure I can help, but a little more info might spark some ideas.
it's florida, had it for about 6 weeks, from my lfs, it has now developed small brown spots on it, and it stays shriveled up most of the time?
thanks for any help!
Any change in lighting (or location of the coral relative to the lights)? What fish and inverts do you have? The spots are still throwing me, but maybe something is keeping it closed up and the spots are a side effect of that? I didn't personally see it on rics, but I've watched pepermint shrimp devour four nice adult rock anemones in my 120... Might be something munching on it. Have you seen any large (pinky size in diameter) worms in the tank (usually don't see them except at night, and then it is hit or miss)?
hope its not brown jelly disease.... if it is, most likely it wont survive. I know Aquatic Express carries them all the time and theres are extremely hardy! I've bought a few myself and never had any die on me..
