Sick Tang?

I have a hippo tang that I bought at the LFS about a month ago, she's always seemed healthy enough, and even seems healthy to this day but she has some odd habits that I wonder if may be attributed to a parasite.

I notice one or two white spots on her body from time to time, and sometimes on her fins. I can't tell if these are parasites or just substrate. I know it's substrate at least sometimes, because I've seen them fall off.

She also has 1 or 2 very small patches on her skin where it's not as blue as the rest of her, and there is some area around her eyes that's faded from the dark black as well, but I don't know if this is just natural variations in her coloration.

She spends alot of time in a very scratchy dead coral skeleton, I thought she was just hiding in there, but yesterday I saw her unmistakably scratching herself on another coral skeleton... She kept swimming at it and striking it with glancing blows.

I would get some pictures but these marks are so small I'm not even sure if they're there with my own eyes, I know I won't be able to capture them with a camera.

What do you guys think? I have other fish in the tank with her that don't seem to be acting wierd, and I've had her for some time.

Ya me too,
I have 1 blue small tang and one small yellow tang,

They both swim and eat like champs.
But the yellow one has like brown tiny tiny ticks one him, they also come and go.
The Blue one has white spots.

I have treating it with the Organic ich treatment.

blue tangs are SUPER easy to get ick.
i stay far from them
did the same thing n thought it might be sand
but it wasnt..
u can try to QT him but they dont always do so well.
id get him out of the tank asap before it spreads to your other fish, cause chances are, its ick.
especially since hes scratching, good sign. good luck...it sucks.

I am having the same problem. I have been watching this blue tang/hippo for a little while at one of my LFS and it was doing awesome! He was eating like a pig for the last 2 weeks, no signs of Ick, beautiful color! Well, I finaly picked him up on Saturday, Sunday he was fine eating like a champ enjoying the new scene and Monday got home from work he is now covered in Ick! I cant even catch him in my tank, no other fish I have ever shown any signs of Ick or had Ick but this guy is just covered. I dont know what to do?
