Signs of Chemical Warfare?

Hi friends!
I'm starting to get the feeling the my tank is a bit crowded and some of my corals seem (could be in my head) to be forming aversions to other corals. What sort of signs should I be watching out for with chemical warfare?
My pink poci is closed up today. It sits above (out of reach) a large torch coral - is this possibly chem war-fare? My sun coral also has only half it's heads opens today - and the half that is closed is the side near to the closed poci. I did a 10% WC last Wed and beside KH being on the low side (slowly correcting that), all the params were good.
Thanks!

sounds like the torch is stinging it's neighbors.

if true, this isn't "chemical warfare" (allelopathy) but physical warfare.

Pocillopora, Euphyllia and Tubastrea aren't known for being highly toxic but Euphyllia develop sweepers.

I know the torch and hammer have been stinging/trying to sting each other. I moved them further apart which seems to help, but I would be really surprised if any of them could reach the poci. You may be right with the sun coral though - that hammer could probably reach it - just that it normally focuses it's malice on the torch....
Here's a pic:

When I tested my nitrates last Wed they were at 5 - using a salifert kit - also, it sat for 6 minutes instead of 3. Normally Nitrates are 2 and below.
The pink Poci stayed closed for about half they day, then slowly reopened. Then the green poci next to it closed up completely. Today they are both open and look normal. Do SPS corals get grumpy for a pooh-time like LPS??

not really.

fwiw I've noted that my green Poci often opens up while the pink closes (and vice versa). I'm not sure what's going on.
