Signs

[Misled]

One of the first signs spring isn't far away. Skunk Weed.

Another. Snow Drops.

And just because I knew I'd like the backround.

Nice. I didn't realize Skunk Weed was so photogenic earlier in its development.

The daffodils here have been up for a while and are verging on done. Trees are flowering now and many are already losing their blossoms.

I noticed some of those signs on the weekend, mind you not quite as far along. We just had our first thaw on Saturday and it is raining today, most if not all the snow should be gone by the end of the day. Spring migrant birds are reportedly showing up and I saw my first robin yesterday.

We always called it Skunk Cabbage growing up - have you always referred to it as Skunk Weed?

Yeah the first day of daylight savings time here brough 10" of new snow. Now we're at a solid 2' on the ground. UGH!

We called it cabbage in south Jersey. Here in Pittsburgh, they call it a weed.

We call these teasels out west. One day, out photographing meadowlarks, this scene appeared for a split second. I was lucky enough to rip off a couple shots before he flew.
