Siliconing streams

Is it possible to attach the stream holder to the side of a tank using silicone? I noticed it in the instructions, but couldn't figure out the necessary parts. Is this a recommended way of attaching the holder? Does it require an extra accessory (other than silicone!).

You will want to get the accesory holder set 3000.26. This contains some small fiberglass plates and you will lightly scuff the clean dry glass with 400grit sand paper or a scotchbright pad and wipe all parts with alcohol. Then the silicon will bond the plates nearly permanently and the rail attaches to the plates with small screws. The instructions say it can be done in an established tank with water in it, this is very tricky and I don't recommend it.
