Silly Nem

Well,

I have had my GBTA in the tank for about 6 weeks. Since the start it has been very happy on top of a rock right in the center of the tank. All of sudden it has decided to hang upside down from the underside of the rock. It looks cool, but my female A. Clarkii is very unhappy about the deal.

Anyone else have a nem do something similar? If so, was it permanent, or did it move on?

my GBTA went behind my rockwork a few weeks ago, i see him in the back it looks ok...but cant really feed it, hope its getting enough food,i too hope it comesout soon..

yeah, I had a bta do something like that but my clowns never adopted it. (I had to get another nem) Eventually I rotated the rock and it stayed in that same place, new angle and all.

Here is a photo, and it includes my female Clarkii desperately trying to snuggle in:

Looks like its still recovering from being bleached, in this case bright light will only make in "uncomfortable".

Nah, it's not bleached, I just didn't have the white balance set properly on my camera. It is nice and green.

Oh ok, in that case its probably just being a normal BTA! My GBTA does strange things like collapse onto the sandbed, or expand to fill 1/4 of the tank, or twist its foot or go wandering. But it always comes back to the same place.

I have one rbta in almost that exact position, and another (from when it split) directly below it. My perc definitely favors the one below. The anemone above hasn't moved a bit, I guess some of them just like it that way.

 It looks like your clarkii is frowning... to me anyways. I just thought i'd post it since I actually laughed when I saw his face.

Yeah, she is definitely not happy with the nem's new position. When we added the nem to the tank, she snuggled in within about 2 minutes. She would climb in and just wriggle around all day long. Now she can't do that. At night she tries to climb in to sleep, but she has trouble staying in due to gravity.

My GBTA does the same thing, it's almost always on the under side of a rock, receiving very little direct light. It's a pain to feed it, but my perculas don't seem to mind it.
