AFAIK Tunze's warranty is 2 years, right? Two questions - bear with me.
1) If I purchased a Tunze stream pump, and say after 3 years the smoke comes out of it. Assuming you would have replaced the unit under warranty had this happen during the first 2 years, am I correct in saying since it now has been 3 years I will have to pay for fixing the pump?
2) Assume I purchase a Tunze stream pump. I put it in my aquarium but never realise that it does not actually work - i.e. it does not move the water. After 3 years I come to you and ask to have the unit replaced for free since there has been a defect from the start. Would it be replaced for free? (Assume I have some way of proving that it never worked). Or does it have to be reported within the warranty period?
I am trying to get a feel for what product support is like on physical products in comparison to virtual products.
I'd appreciate it if someone (Roger?) can help me out with these questions.
