thanks guys! I got em (croceas) on ebay actually... from reef empire, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! all 3 i got for like $140 and shipping was free so it was a very sweet deal. They are all 3" btw, my calcium is pretty much gone the second it hits the tank tho which sucks but o well, love them clams!

Man, that is nice. What are you using to dose calcium and how much are you putting in each day? I know that with even my two little clams, it is hard to maintain the proper calcium levels. I bought a two part kit a few weeks ago and have only used about 30ml of the alk but have blown through the calcium portion... so I guess I am going to buy the gallon sized container this time around. But, in the end, it is well worth it. Strongly considering rehoming a good amount of my coral to make more room for more clams. Feel in love with a black and white maxima I saw in a book yesterday.... that will be my next purchase...

yeah, over $100 free shipping! which i only intended on buying two but since the two i won only added up to like $96 I figured I might as well get another one considering shipping would have been $40. And as far as dosing I am currently using kent nano a and b every day about 9 ml a day of each and then i do a water change once a week. I haven't checked my calcium levels in the recently but I was keeping it at about 420 ppm by doing that.

fantastic colouration on those clams. We never see those types of colour patterns over here. The regular bright maxima's are megabuxx too£55 (UKP) for a 3" maxima, 1.5" maxima's around £35 and i've never even seen a crocea in my area
