single 250w enough?

Iam in the process of building my cubish tank its 21.5 x 26.5 x 26.5" to be exact. Its going in my bed room. I was looking into PFO mini pendent with IceCap ballest and 14k Phoneix for this set up which is going to be mainly SPS. There will some softies in the lower part too. Would that be enough?

sorry i meant 26.5 x 21.5 x 23.5' so its about 58g.

Yes a 250 shall be enough but try to get a reflector that produces a more square ilumination than the minipendant. Look into the Lumenarc mini.

jdieck, The tank is open topped....No hood. are there any better pendents that would give me a better light coverge?

The Lumenarc is ideal for an open top and being square it is ideal for a cube. This is how it looks. I use a 250 watt SE bulb on this one for my Q tank

I was looking at both and they dont have the same look as the PFO. its like piece of almunium with a bulb
if i were to choose the PFO ..would I have any diffrent results except for the light coverge ?

You will end up with different intensity distribution which I think not be an issue, just need to arrange the rockwork in a way that allow to set the high light requirment speciments in the center and spread to the outside with less and less light requirment species.
