I am in the process of building a sump out of a 20 long for my 57 gallon DT (Center Overflow) I am already really crammed for space as I have an overly large skimmer that I am going to be running. My problem is the syphon with power loss, I may be able to come up with enough room in the 20 but BARELY. My question is could a hole be drilled into the return pipe inside the overflow box somewhere so it would break the syphon? This makes sense in my head, but will it work?

Don't count on a hole for a siphon break -- it will get covered with algae at some point.
Just make sure that your return line is near the water surface, so that it will siphon break before too much water flows back.
All 3 of my tanks (( 40, 65, & 75 )) have 20 long sumps, and having the return line near the water surface works great for a siphon break.
If you look closely at the back left corner you can see the return line,
And with the 65, you can see the return lines near the water surface,

Thanks, and nope. I have found that when I have clowns hosted by an S. haddoni, the other fish (( mainly dwarf angels )) tend to chase the clowns; which with an S. haddoni ends up with dead angels. They now ignore it, and I think the porcelain crab that is in it prefers it that way.
