Six Line in QT acting funny

Hi Forum! Our six line wrasse that's just now started week 4 in our QT is acting strange. He seems to swim normal and has an appetite but is spending most of his time in an odd vertical position peeking out from inside a cave. Seems to have increased rapid short breathing. The other in the QT are acting normal and they all are getting along (no one picking on the wrasse). We've done Paraguard, 2 rounds of PraziPro, and are debating on more observation time or to start Cupramine later this week.

Thoughts? Possible Ich in his gills? Normal six line behavior?

Sounds like bloating or internal parasite. Unfortunately, I haven't had to deal with this so maybe the experts will chime in soon to get you the right meds or you can try and google in the mean time.

Prazi pro

Prazi pro

If you've seen white or stringy poo. It could be internal parasites, prazi pro or something with praziquantal can treat that.

Thank you scooter31707 and 1stanker! We've definitely seen white stringy poo. We did 2 - 5 day treatments with PraziPro...enough? From reading other wrasse threads we were thinking the PraziPro may be causing the odd behavior. Yesterday was the last day for the 2nd treatment so we did a WC and added carbon late last night and "may" be doing better...still observing. Not sure where to go with any additional treatments.

depending what you plan on trying to keep with that fish you may not want to even addd it to the DT. nasty critters.

He's eating like a champ and not as bloated. Also no longer breathing heavy on his side.
I'm wondering if it was due in part to being stressed from prazi or actually sick.
He's doing 100% better it seams and gets along great with the clowns and firefish. View attachment 369725
