Sixline thin but eating and not worms?

I've had this sixline for about 4-5 years now. He's been great, about a month ago he got a really bad wound on his side (which I am assuming was from scraping on a rock) and I treated with an antibiotic for about a week and he recovered well. Every since this, he has dramatically been getting thinner despite feeding 2-3 times a day... He still acts normally. I feel really bad for him and I'm not sure what's going on or if there's anything I can do for him.

As I've had him for so long should I assume it's not some sort of internal parasite?

Try Selcon soaking with his food, for starters, and see if that helps him. It's a general vitamin/mineral supplement. Sometimes antibiotics can purge minerals from a critter. If no improvement, then it could be a lingering infection.

mmm,. Well, first, what did you treat him with, and how long did it say to continue the treatment on the instructions?http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.c...n/fish-parasite-treatment/ps/c/3578/4615/4620 This is a link to F&S, who will sell fish-dose penicillin and amoxicillin, which might be a good place to go next. Penicillin is the old standby for dunno-what-he's-got but...If there is a possibility he still has a low-grade infection, I think I'd look here. Some of the combo types like Metronidazole are really rough on a fish. So this might be a good choice, somewhere in this list.

I treated with nitrofurazone green and treated for 7 days, as stated in the directions. At that point, he was looking much better and so I stopped medicating. I have a anti-parasitic powder you mix with foods, would you suggest that? I can't remember the name off hand... Parasite-x maybe?
