Skimmer Advice for a 180 Gal Reef build.

Hey folks looking for opinions on skimmers.. I am currently running a Bashsea Twisted Skimmer - looks great but that's about all it does. I can't take it apart to clean it so it's basically a beautiful POS that does not work.

What is one o fthe best budget friendly skimmers out there?

I have been checking our the Super Reef Octopus 3000 & Vertex Alpha 200 Protein Skimmer @ BRS... Thats about 800.00 at the top of the price range..

I know a lot of you Run others that may be as good or better..

Looking for some advise so I dont waste money that could be spent elsewhere.

well no skimmer is money wasted so to speak but i know what you mean. you can check the for sale ads here and find a great one used. i bought a GEO from a guy local to me and i love it!!!
