Skimmer and Filter

What is a good brand of skimmer for a 200g tank. Also, I'm looking at a reverse osmosis filter but im lost. What would you guys recomend. I need help.

There's no objective data on skimmers, so getting lost is sadly easy. I'd buy a Euro-Reef, but Deltec and H&S also get good reviews. Bubble King skimmers get good reviews, too, but are extremely expensive.

SpectraPure sells good RO-DI units. They aren't the cheapest, but you'll get good quality.

Euro-Reef RS250 for an in sump model. You want to look for a skimmer thats over rated for your tank size. Theres also the ASM G series which are cheaper than most skimmers for their size. I'd look into an ASM G-3 or G-4 for 200 gallons. For deltecs your looking at close to or over $1k for a skimmer for that size. Do you have any brand in mind?

No, but that doesn't include the size of the sump...

Doesn't matter, in my opinion. The skimmer load is based on the feeding rate, the animals in the tank, and so on. The size of the sump is irrelevant.
