Skimmer causing micro bubbles.

If I have determined that my skimmer is causing micro bubbles in my DT, how do I correct this?

Is it new? Do you have baffles in your sump? If the answers are 'yes' and 'no' - in that order, you can expect bubbles with a new skimmer as it breaks in. Bubble traps - located in your sump - will help to ...well, trap and disperse micro bubbles.

if the skimmer is new it will do that for few weeks. but if its old then baffles in sump and slow the flow through the sump.

It is not a new skimmer and I do have baffles in my sump. Is it possible that the skimmer has gone bad? And are there any bad side effects to have these bubbles in the tank. I am hoping I can slowly figure it out!

Sure. There is a needle wheel that could be shot. Since I have no idea what kind of skimmer you have, I am kind of like fighting a lightsaber battle with a pocket knife.

I have not used any chemicals or dosed anything at all. I am currently researching my skimmer now. Thanks for the help!
