Skimmer Choice-Need to order

I have a new 120 gal tank. Getting ready to cycle soon. What skimmer would you pick with a heavy bio-load.

1) MSX-200
2) MSX Mini S Cone
3) Vertex IN-180
4) Warner Marine AS-150

This is what I have narrowed it down to based on your comments/threads and or price.

Of the ones you listed I would choose the MSX-200 based on best bang for the buck.

However, if you are willing to spend $459 on the WM AS150 why not consider one of the larger cone skimmers. The Reef Octopus Super XP 2000 is larger than the MiniS and looks like the pump is better than all the skimmers in your list.

Sorry to throw a curve ball at you. All the ones you listed are solid skimmers so there is not a bad pick in the bunch.

MSX200...I got one 2 months ago and it is far better than I ever hoped for...I did my research...this thing kicks...not convinced cones are the shizzle...

I don't own one, but plan on buying the MSX200 when I upgrade to my 90/40G. HTH
