Skimmer DOC 9015 HELP

I need help with my skimmer. I have trouble getting the skimmer to work. After the initial installation I got very little foam. Then I took the skimmer apart and the foam production got better. Still not much.... The air inlet is all the way open.....

The skimmate you collected looks good but it seems very concentrated. I suspect something is limiting the air flow. Check the following. The airline nipple should insert about halfway into the venturi. The fit should be very snug, so snug you could lift the pump by the airline. Make sure the airline is not pinched and when you reinstall the pump be sure the pump outlet is inside the clear jet pipe in the skimmer. Does water exit the pipe on the front? What is your water level at present?

I have done this in the past. Water gets discharged in the front and through the whole in the back. Water level is below the blue line (1/2")

OK, check the airline and let me know. How long has the skimmer been in use?

seems to work now I have to keep the air intake all the way open. The skimmer is 4 weeks old.

So its been a while, the problem persists. The stuff that gets collected is pretty black. but very little of it. The oam production is weak. I would like to send the skimmer for repair. Where would I send it to. I purchased the skimmer on Feb 23 2008( received it about 10 days later) from oceanreeflections.com.

Please advise

Send it without the skimmer cup and with the pump removed and packed seperately. The pump can be in the same box but it should be wrapped outside the skimmer in some padding material.
