I need to figure out a way to easily drain my skimmer cup. The skimmer sits in an under-tank sump with its drain line 6 inches below the top of the sump and there is only a little space above the skimmer (tight fit).
I would like to run the drain line from the skimmer cup to a bulkhead fitting I will put in the sump wall. What I need to figure out is how to make a quick disconnect for the drain hose. If the drain line was PVC pipe, I could use a union, but I am lost as to what will work with 1/2 hose.
Any ideas?
