Skimmer for 375g System

Hi all, I have two displays plumbed into one fish room in my basement.

Before I had a just a 93 cube and a 40 breeder sump.... Running with a AquaMaxx Cones Co-2 skimmer...

Just this past weekend I plumbed in my 220 and upgraded my sump to a 75...

So now I have a
93 Display
220 Display
75 Gallon Sump

The AquaMaxx Cones - Co2 Will probably not shine here correct?

Looking for some upgrade advice.

I would choose any ATB over any Octopus skimmer if I had the choice.

all depends on what you want to do here. is the 93 going to be a refugium or stay a reef? on the light side I would suggest a skimmer for ~450 gallons if you do any other source or nutrient uptake(refugium). If you don't, I would go big..like a octopus 5-6000 ext. Think about double your water volume.

93 is going to stay reef. 220 is going to be reef, with a few larger fish.... (sohal & angel)

I see heavy filtration recommendation on that reef octo at like 350.... I don't think that's a good number. I think I'm going to need bigger....

Problem is, my systems are already running... Maybe I'll just break the bank a bit for a new nice one...

Where are you getting these numbers? A sro 6000 ext should skim 550ish gallons no problem. But even like Jason said above. There are a lot better companies out there other than ocotopus. Since you have a basement sump, I would run an external any way you go.

the space savers are a real pain to clean as well. taking the entire skimmer apart just to clean the pump.

And the SRO SSS line is even more of a pain because the bottom is press fit and falls apart when trying to get it in or even adjusted if you lift it up. I hate that design. Thumbscrews are needed.

Skimz skimmers look nice and have had some good reviews. But their new DC pumps have had a lot of bad reviews. I'd hold off.
