Skimmer for biocube 32

So I see a lot of threads on this... but all the ones I have read talk about skimmers that don't fit. Anyone successfully running a skimmer on a 32 ( from what I read some that fit a 29 won't fit in a 32 due to the new hood).

I've also read a lot about how they aren't necessary with running purigen and chemi pure elite... but I'm still running into some pretty bad algae and cyanobacteria.

You might be able to hook an AquaC Remora up to the backside, but not sure. All I've got to go by are the ads.

What dimensions are you working with for where the skimmer will fit?

The coralife skimmer fits perfect in chamber one.

Fits in chamber 1 on the 32? That's encouraging. Do you have a heater in chamber 1 as well? If not where is your heater?

Yes fits chamber 1 perfect completely stock with lid closed.(internet is full of lies!!!)lol. And my heater is in chamber 3

I run chemipure elite and purigen and I also have the coralife skimmer in my 32g, to be honost, I could probably do without the skimmer. I do a 3 gallon water change once a week and the most I get out of my skimmer is a very very light green wet skimmate.

The only skimmer known to fit in Chamber 1 is the biocube air driven skimmer. This is due to the new hood design which has low clearance. You can fit a heater in chamber 1 next to this simmer.

The middle, Chamber 2 still has good clearance so there are lot of skimmer options for it. However that is not the ideal place to put a skimmer. You have to toss out the media rack that comes with the biocube. Then you can put a half as wide media rack in and run a skimmer next to it on the 32G models. Chamber 3 another unideal spot to put a skimmer, also has the low clearance like the first chamber, but the water level is lower. You need an ATO to keep the water level constant in these other chambers.
