Skimmer goin' crazy. Help please.

Turboflotor skimmer produces huge, wet bubbles for 15 minutes after I feed my fish with shrimp. Why does this happen? It's making a mess and sometimes it pushes the lid off of the collection cup. Here's some pics:

I belive its just something in the food. When I fed forumla 1 it did that to my Euro Reef.

When I feed mysis though it just shuts down my skimmer. it doesnt overflow or go crazy.

put a rock on top to hold the lid down.

Yeah, it definately is something in the food, b/c none of the frozen foods cause this to happen. It's gotta be the oil on the shrimp. Tomorrow I think that I'll try rinsing off the shrimp real well first, and see what happens. I am really surprised that formula 1 caused that to happen with your euroreef.

i have heard that you have like a grace period with skimmers before they work flawlessly...

Funny you say that about the Formula one. I bought some for the first time last week and my skimmer went nuts and overflowed. Takes a few hours to get back to normal. Definitly something in that food. I had to stop using it.
