skimmer help please

today my skimmer started overflowing... i forgot to dump it yesterday and today it was juss foaming all over the place (in sump) now that its clean, i let all the foam die down, i turned it on, and it started to overflow again with white foam, and the skimmer output was outputting microbubbles with the "skimmed" water. its a euroreef 5-3... and the adjuster's all the way down

The air intake could be partially blocked.

did you add something to the water? This seems to me that you just fed your tank. The ER will do that if there are some kind of chemicals or food in the tank. Turn it off for a hour or two. Then turn it on again. Look into the gate valve mod this might help you on this issue.

basically what mchava said, probably chemical wise. you can also try throwing in a bag of carbon and let it take out some stuff as well, may help.

the skimmer's bubbles are too big, there are the fine ones at a layer below, and really big ones get pushed up and out before it was only small bubbles

figured it out... just came home and checked it was normal again.. i remembered that yesterday i put in "Aqua Safe" by Tetra Aqua water conditioner, cause i went swimming and like 4 hours later i stuck my hand (chlorinated by pool) into my tank to move stuff... so i put the conditoner to kill the chlorine... so i gues thats what happened.
