I have a octopus sro 1000 with bb pump. Last week the impeller shaft cracked and I called coralvue and they sent me a brand new pump. When I put the new pump on the pump is I guess drawing to much air so I put a plug in the air tube to restrict the air by about 50% to stop the skimmer from overflowing and its skimming perfect I was wondering if the pump is just breaking in and will I be able to run the skimmer normal without the plug I have in the air tube.
